The Farmer Project

An initiative to help the farmers of India and make farming rewarding for them

Fed up of the atrocities to farmers in India, I decided it was time to do something. It was either someone else standing up for them or making them able enough to do so for themselves, and I chose the latter.
When I realised that this couldn't be done sitting at home, through my computer. I decided to got to the roots of the situation, and seeked the help of India’s leading crop protection company, Insecticides (India) Limited or IIL.
With the Managing Director of Insecticides (India) Limited, Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal's thoughts alinging with those of mine, we decided to launch it as their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) project and scale it to a national level.
Travelling to small villages of India with the IIL team, like the Hissar village of Haryana, Punjab, we tried to understand the conditions of the farmers. Based on my observations we wrote a project report and based on the report set up training camps for the farmers and sent information through Bulk SMSs.

The project is feature on the CSR page of Insecticides (India) Limited's Website: www.insecticidesindia.com/CSR.html
